Göran Sveningzon is a visual artist, born 1964 in Hagelstorp, Sweden.

His early paintings with a mix of fantasy, fairy tail and cartoon led to an initial gallery exhibition at the age of 19. The year later he was admitted to preparatory art school in Gothenburg. After two years he continued with theoretical studies in art and history at the university.

Most of his painting from late 80's onwards reflects an interest of informal expressions with influences from Lyrical Abstraction and Tachism. His work as a graphic artist also has contributed with elements of pictograms, signs and calligraphy into his art. He stated an imprint-like imagery through a brief manifesto in 1999.

With a new interest in more recent aesthetic subjects, he resumed higher education in 2012 and obtained a degree in Art and Visual Studies.

His works has retained an interplay between intuition and materiality throughout the years, which is also noticeable through exhibitions and assignments.

Another almost lifelong interest remains in music. Through the digital possibilities to compose, he began in 2017 working with instrumental music and started 'Lyrotron' - a concept of sound and art. The music is available on the internet via streaming platforms.
